It is a twist off of a bobby pin. I believe it is made of similar material to the bobby pin but the spin pins are more stable, thicker and stronger. The have one for dark hair (the one below) and they also have a lighter one made for light hair. Depending on the answers you gave for your hair color depended on which color you were going to receive. On one side of the pin is closed and it basically is shaped in a spiral form and the other end of the pin is open (the side you insert to your hair).
♡How it works: Dark Hair
This is not the only hair style you can use it for but it is the only one I use it for. You just gather your hair into a pony tail and then wrap it around to form a bun. Just incase you are wondering I have long layered hair. Hold it and grab one of the spin pins..
.. Be sure that you are putting the open side inwards. Once you feel the pin is in and grabbing a bit of your hair just begin to twist/spin it in and it should go in smoothly.
.. you just keep twisting/spinning till it's all the way in. Do the same on the opposite end of your bun and it should be secure.
You can see here that the pin is completely invisible and you can't even tell I have anything holding my bun.
I honestly like this product a lot! It's simple to take out as well. All you need to do is locate the pins and twist/spin them out of your hair the same way you put it in. It should come out hassle free. No tangles and all =).
If you bun is a bit loose or the pins probably interlocked when you inserted it on opposite ends. You want to make sure that they do not end up connecting in the middle of the bun.
The reason why I like these is because it hold up my hair well and does make my head hurt after a while. Usually when I tie my hair up in a pony tail or have it being held up with a clip will make my head hurt after an hour or so and that is not the case with the spin pins. I have also slept with them on. I think I'm going to go ahead and try putting my hair in a bun with the spin pins when my hair is slightly damp and undo it at the end of the day or the next morning to see what waves/curls/texture I get. I'm sure it will come out awesome.
♡Where can you get it? How much?:
You can find this product at Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreen’s, Kroger, Duane Reade for approximately $7.29 for a pair (2). It is a bit pricey in my opinion but all you need is 1 pack unless you are like me and like to keep a set everywhere (my room, bathroom, car, and purse). The reason why I have a pair everywhere is because I noticed that if I have to keep moving it from place to place I don't usually put it back where I store it and will end up losing it.

I keep this one near my nightstand for a quick and secure hair style when I want my hair out of my face. What do you think of these spin pins? Do you own them? or thinking about getting them? I totally recommend you guys to try them if you havent.
