E.L.F Baked Blush Review

I love blush.  My skin is quite light, especially my face.. and blush gives me a nice splash of color and gives me a brighter look.  When I heard that elf came out with baked blushes I had to try them.

Baked Blushes:
These blushes are $3 each and they currently have 4 shades.  I haven't seen them in stores yet, only on their website. I decided to get all four shades.  I originally wanted the Hd blushes but they were sold out at the time, so I gave in to these.  The packaging is fairly thin and light. These are quite pigmented, some are very shimmery and others have a nice sheen to them.  They are also very soft and velvety.  I have to say Pinktastic makes a nice light pink highlight instead of a full on blush.  Rich rose and Peachy Cheeky are a little similar when swatched but peachy cheeky has a little bit more of a gold sheen to it.

These may not be good for people with really dry skin because of the shimmer, it might enhance the dry patches.  So make sure to really moisturize and have a great foundation under it before use.

(Pinktastic, Peachy Cheeky, Passion Pink, Rich Rose)

(Pinktastic, Peachy Cheeky, Passion Pink, Rich Rose)

Pros:

  • Very pigmented
  • Easy to blend
  • Inexpensive
  • Soft to touch
  • Great to highlight
  • Buildable
Cons:
  • A bit too shimmery (using a light hand will fix it)

Thoughts?:
You really can't beat the prices for this product.  It would be great if they came out with some matte ones.  If you like shimmery blushes go for these.. if not then stay away!  I think if you build up the color it will appear too shimmery but if you apply it with 1 coat and a light hand it will be a nice sheen and brighten up the face.

Have you tried these? What kind of blushes do you like? Shimmery? Matte? If there is something you would like me to review go ahead and leave the product name in the comments below!

    1. oh yes I think you should totally try them! I think right now they have a 50% off discount code! I hear people compare them to the Mac mineralized blushes.. seems about right.. the texture not the colors =)
