We all know I am more of a false lash type of girl since I have typical Asian lashes (short and straight down). I believe Maybelline was having a giveaway on their facebook page and I was one of the fortunate ones to win one =)

The bristles are short but the brush itself is huge! It's a bit hard to coat my lashes with this massive brush without lightly tugging on my eyelid to help lift my lashes. It sticks to my lashes easily without clumping the first coat. The small bristles help to separate the lashes. The Rocket also thickens my lashes a bit but I don't see much of an improvement in length. My lashes ended up clumping after the 2nd coat! "Zero Clumps Guaranteed"? Ya right! it would probably be less likely to clump my lashes if the brush was a bit smaller (it would help with the application). It also didn't hold my curl that much but that's understandable with my lashes and is the reason why I always grab waterproof mascaras.

You can see in the photos that there isn't a huge difference from the application of the 1st coat and my naked lashes but they are darker.

♡Thoughts?:

I heard a lot of raves about this mascara, sadly it just doesn't do it for me. The packaging and the bristles on the brush is awesome but I really dislike the massive brush itself and it seems to take a bit to dry. This mascara also doesn't seem to keep the curl of my lashes and clumps them after the 1st coat and looks spidery after the 2nd. However, I think it's more due to the brush being so big, it makes it hard to apply the mascara properly. I think this mascara is made more for those with bigger eyes versus girls like me with smaller eyes. The brush itself covers about half of my eye!! Maybelline makes some great mascaras but I will stick to my Rimmel Sexy Curves! Oh yeah, I also use the rocket along with Maybelline's Lash Stiletto.

EDIT: I am totally loving this mascara now! It is my go to mascara and works great when paired with Benefit's They're Real Mascara.
